About

Aminah has decades of experience, as a mother of three, facilitator for personal development programs for youth and women, community worker, and as a teacher, to understand what it is like to bring up children in a society very different to what she knew. Her academic qualifications further refined her knowledge as a community educator for parents and young women, especially for those from migrant Muslim communities in Australia.

Since completing her Master’s and PhD at University of Western Australia, Aminah pursued further studies in Positive Psychology, which was ‘the icing on top’ of all her professional endeavours that enhanced her understanding for human flourishing. Dr. Aminah spent five years to develop her own wellbeing model, published in her book entitled Watering the Roots: A 1-2-3 Parent Wellbeing Guide (a Muslim Perspective).
